In Season 1 a group of S.H.E.I.L.D. elite agents, each with their own specialties and experiences, are employed to protect those who cannot protect themselves from extraordinary and inconceivable threats such as a group called Hydra they have been against since the beginning. Season 4
Daisy, overcome with grief, leaves Shield effectively going rougue and meets Robbie Reyes on her mission to end oppression of inhumans. He becomes instrumental to the team and helps them take down several enemies. They are later put into a computer program which makes them believe that they are apart of the vanquished group Hydra. Most of the team is stuck in this mind prison until They are saved by Daisy and Yo Yo going into the framework and rescuing them.

Season 5
Once rescued from the framework they have to defeat the now extremely powerful LMD that put them into the system. Everyone on the team except for Leo is then abducted and sent to the future to fix the inevitable end of the world. After saving the future they return to the present and race the clock to figure out how to prevent a future they've already seen. A previously kidnapped General Talbot tries to take over the world by injecting himself with gravitonium. Daisy defeats him but Fitz dies while trying to save innocents and Coulson also dies from a previous injury.

The team is dealing with Phil Coulson's mysterious writing in an unknown language. Skye(Daisy) finds out she is a inhuman. While she is learning to keep her powers in check Daisy meets her mother. Her mother, Jiaying proceeds to decieve her and the rest of the people at Afterlife, an inhuman sanctuary, into attacking S.H.I.E.L.D. and all of Daisy's friends who are there. Jiaying goes to extreme lengths to ensure she wins even tries to kill her own daughter, however Daisy is saved by her father who puts an end to Jiaying

Season 6
A team led by Jemma and Daisy set out into space to find an alternate version of Leo Fitz. They travel to various planets looking for him before eventually finding him on Kitson. Jemma and Fitz are rescued from Kitson by a mysterious woman Izel. Someone identical to the dead Phil Coulson comes to earth with a small team. They are eventually caught and it is found that they are trying to save earth from Izel. Izel then brings Fitz and Simmons back to Earth and gets confronted by Sheild. Her ship is blown up however she survives using her ability to inhabit other people's bodies. She is defeated and killed in the battle at the Temple of the Forgotten along with Sarge whose real name was Pachakutiq. Meanwhile, the headquarters are being taken over by the Chronicoms led by Malachi Enoch, a chronicom friend of Fitz Simmons saves them and suggests an idea of how they can solve the problem. The season ends with the whole team in New York 20th century attempting to figure out how to stop the chronicoms.

Season 3
Jemma disappears via alien space rock and sends Leo into a frenzy trying to find her. Later on a creature residing on the same planet as Jemma takes over a recently dead Ward and goes to earth with the idea of conquering it. Melinda May's ex husband and resident therapist for the team is found to have inhuman powers. Once the creature occupying Grant Ward called the Hive's plan is uncovered S.H.I.E.L.D works to stop him and successfullty do so but Lincoln Campbell dies to save Daisy.

Season 7?
Season 7 is set to be the last season of Agents of Shield. Although it is not out yet we can infer through on set pictures taken that the team will be traveling to the past at some point. The final season is set to premere sometime Summer 2020 with 13 episodes.
